Can Vision Therapy Help my Child? Take Quiz.

Helping Your Child Reach Their Full Potential

Seeing the world clearly is about more than 20/20 vision—it means having the ability to easily and confidently process visual information at every moment.

For lots of kids, trouble in school, difficulty reading or writing, and other challenges may be related to vision problems. With a functional optometry approach, Dr. Megan Sumrall Lott can fully understand how your child sees the world.

Some kids may need glasses, while others can benefit from vision therapy activities to strengthen the brain–eye connection. For many of our young patients, vision therapy helps boost their grades and gives them newfound confidence.

Low Vision Services

We know that living with low vision can have a dramatic impact on your quality of life, your ability to do things you love, and your independence. Many of our low vision patients have been told there’s nothing more that can be done to fix their vision, but we believe there’s often plenty we can do to improve their daily life.

We work closely with each patient to learn their goals and find the right vision aids to help them or their loved one regain the ability to drive, read, and enjoy the things that matter most.

Learn how we can help people living with macular degeneration, glaucoma, and other vision loss.

Dr. Lott’s
Functional Approach

Dr. Megan Sumrall Lott is a functional rehabilitative optometrist. The “functional” part of that title means she learns how every part of the visual system works during every part of a person’s day. That includes how the eyes focus on objects, track their movement, adjust to changing conditions and more.

The “rehabilitative” part refers to her knowledge in helping people regain their vision after it has been damaged in some way. This includes after brain injury (also known as a concussion) or an eye disease, such as macular degeneration and other sight-threatening ocular diseases.
